Dear Ardennite:

Greetinngs from the NEW YORK CHAPTER of the ARDENNE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.

As our thoughts turn towards the wonderful season of Christmas with its beautiful promise of Peace and Joy, we hope that you and your family will be truly blessed.

The New York chapter is proud of another year of achievements as we strive towards fulfilling the mission of our organization.  We are especially grateful for the assistance and support from our fellow alumni and friends who have been there for us along this journey.

Following are some of the highlights this year:

  • Completed the payment of our US$20,000 pledge towards the Winston Roberts Science Building at Ardenne.  We also made a special contribution in memory of alumnus Rudyard Philp who died unexpectedly in December, 2008
  • Celebrated their 20th Anniversary with the class of 1989 on Reunion Weekend - July 18
  • Shared a fun-filled Picnic with fellow alumni and their families on July 19
  • Assisted two Ardenne alumni who are currently students at the University of Technology (Ja.) to attend an internship program in New York
  • Participated in the Union of Jamaican Alumni Associations (UJAA) inaugural Church Service (formerly Ardenne Sunday) on April 19
  • Supported our fellow alumni from other schools in their fundraising activities

We are now looking forward to 2010 with much anticipation and excitement:

The MEGA DRAWING  will be on March 27, 2010.  The tickets are now available and we need to get moving with them immediately.  One of our projects for this year will be to assist in securing equipment for the Science Lab.  Our students are doing extremely well - we want to give them the appropriate resources.

AWARDS LUNCHEON:  May 16, 2010.  Please Save the Date.  Details will soon be forthcoming.

Class of 1980:  Watch for more information about celebrating your 30th Anniversary.  If you are or know someone who graduated from Ardenne in 1980, please send me a note at: kchcmom@aol.com
